Adoption Services
The Humane Society provides adoption of companion animals to approved, qualified adopters. Persons seeking to adopt will be asked to complete an adoption questionnaire and to provide information regarding the veterinary care and status of other animals in the home. The Humane Society seeks to establish the correct match between family and animal. Adoption counseling provides education and information to assist the new adopter in successfully introducing the dog or cat into the new home. The Humane Society follows accepted and time tested industry standards and practices, combined with many years of experience to balance the adopters’ experience and knowledge of animal care with the needs of the adoptive animal.

The Humane Society is an open-door shelter. We accept any animal unless it is dangerous or diseased. We may recommend that the animal should, because of its condition, be euthanized. If you are bringing an animal to the shelter, we suggest that you call to discuss your needs and make an appointment so we may better serve you.

The Humane Society provides private cremation and euthanasia services to the public. Please call to inquire and make suitable arrangements.
